What's On Your Workdesk Saturday

That's right, I know it is supposed to be What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday but hear me out.  See, this past Saturday, hubby came up to me as I was playing at my desk and asked me what I was up to.  I started babbling happily about this project and that project and this new purchase and that new thing.  His eyes immediately glazed over.

I realized all that stuff and enthusiasm is just what WOYWW was all about, except for the niggling little fact that by Wednesday my desk is all nicely picked up and BORING, so I'm opting to show you my Saturday desk instead.  For you purists, I'll toss in a shot of my desk today just to show you that it's dull.
It's Saturday, I'm doing stuff.
Glitter was drying,  either paper or stamped butterflies will be added.
A cityscape in progress. Not sure which background paper to use.
The cat insisted on a cat-eye view of my desk.
On my to-do list: try neat tutorial for crepe paper flowers made with dies.
New stamps that have me excited to play with.
Sn@p cards to show my card making friends that you don't have to scrapbook with them.
The latest and last ever Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients monthly kit
A random cat, because the Internet needs more random cats.
Today's desk all picked up-the stuff I haven't got to yet is nicely piled up.
The Fine Print: What? There wasn't enough fine print under the photos?  You want more?!  Anyone got any good suggestions for a fun new monthly kit to try out since TE is discontinuing theirs? If you are curious about any of the projects I was making, you can ask, or stick around.  They'll probably show up on this blog sooner or later.

I'm so impressed with how you clear up after yourself. Great idea to show the Saturday version of your desk.
Have a lovely week

Tell you what, Judy...the dragon's eye followed me around that blooming quarry as well. Smaug is definitely resting in Dorset, lol! Isn't it brilliantly sculpted though, there were so many different sculptures there but I couldn't possibly show them all....Julia wouldn't be happy!
I LOVE that butterflies card, so pretty :-)

You put me to shame with your cleaned-up desk after creating! I guess that's why I don't participate in WOYWW! LOL The butterfly card is a real beauty with a wonderful sentiment!!

Your messy desk looks like my clean one after a great purge!!! Great looking card! I like the glittery Butterflies! Love all the new toys! My DH really glazed over quickly too...until I showed him my Dremel tool and a couple other things. Have a great week and thanks for already visiting my desk. Vickie #82

I will show my desk right after I can afford a dumpster to clean it and the room out. It takes me three days to find what I want. Cherokee just stands there in a daze. Love all of the goodies you are working on. They all look like they will be dazzlers. Now if I can only find my coffee from this morning.LOL.

Wow, your Wednesday desk is very tidy! And yes, we need more random cats. Can't get enough of them in fact :)
Glad you like my skiing sheep! Seriously, it is one of my most favourite stamps! (I wonder what that says about my tastes?)
Thanks for dropping by,

Hi Princess Judy,

The summer kit looks so cute - I bet there are some great papers in the stack. Please share when you make the flowers using die cuts and that paper stuff.... at a loss of the name right now.

I'm not participating this week (boring me). I like both pictures of your desk, by the way. AND all the stuff that surrounds it!

Hugs,
Kay

Know what you mean about men/non-crafters and their glazed over look, live in a household like that!
Adore your butterfly piece, stamping, glitter and added flowers and butterflies - super combination. Love your little flower die too.
The paper you like is a décopatch one http://www.decopatchme.co.uk/ I am doing a decopatch workshop on Monday and intend to cover a little wooden birdhouse with it.
Thanks for visiting me BJ#9

I must not be a purist because I liked the Saturday desk best. :-)

So impressed that amidst all that busy creativity the desk still remains visible at the end of it all - mine looks like a hurricane's hit at the moment. I know you have to close it because of the cats... but that would be the perfect excuse for me to leave a mess - I can just close the cover and nobody would know!!

You are SO neat and tidy at the end of your crafting session, Judy. I am highly impressed!! Liked what you have been doing this last week - it's good to see how others work.
Sorry I'm so late getting round this week - life sort of got in the way!! Thanks for visiting and for your comments. Yes, I got plenty achieved last week - and then a card making frenzy yesterday - but it means my desk looks....well, let's just say - a lot worse than yours ever does at it's busiest!
Take care. God bless.

Yeah, even your Saturday desk is nice and neat compared to mine. Pfft.

Wait, no more TE kits? Those are the two I have left as partial kits to use up. I'm not a kit gal - I have too much other s-crap and don't need more.

The internet really does need more random cats. I'm impressed that your desk has tidy times - mine is always pretty much crazy :) As for kits...no idea. I've never subscribed. I think Simon Says Stamp has one?
