House Mouse and Friends - NBUS Challenge

I'm so excited that I just found out what NBUS means!  NBUS = Never Before Used Stuff!  Not that any of us crafters have any of those kinds of things lying around, oh no!!!  But just in case, on some off chance that you do, and it is House Mouse (or friend) themed, the House Mouse folks are hosting a challenge to get you to use it.

That's right, House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #161 is to ink up that never before used House Mouse Designs stamp and have at it. I just so happened to have bought myself an Easter Mouse right before Christmas and here he is.
During the design phase of this card I knew it was lacking something so I consulted my husband.  He is not in the least bit crafty but often has some good input.  He said the egg needed grass, because it isn't Easter without Easter grass and by jove, he was right.

The Fine Print: "This Egg's for You" House Mouse stamp by Stampabilities, paper from my stash, egg die by Cheery Lynn, grass die by A Muse Studio, Madera Corner die by Memory Box, and pink bling by Queen & Co. And yes, next month I plan to be more timely with this challenge.

What an adorable card, PJ! I'm so glad you have hopped on my NBUS movement! I put the info in my blog banner, but you know how we don't actually look at each other's blog banners and side bars! At least I'm guilty of that.

I went over to the House Mouse challenge to see if they had used my term and maybe even credited me, but they didn't. Thaz okay, lots of people know and it's fun to see it spreading! It makes me feel good that I'm not the only greedy goose who keeps buying schtuff and putting it away without using it at least once and NBUS has really helped make a dent in it. Okay, I'll let you go. I'm sure you weren't interested in the PhD thesis I'm writing on the subject!!

Enjoy the day! Hugs, Darnell

Hi Judy, I can feel your NBUS excitement & I just saw the comment from that word-a-licious Darnell who coined the phrase. Now it's all over blogs! I think it should be in the dictionary too! Also VOS ...Your card is so cute, and good for you getting an Easter jumpstart. Your DH was spot on with the grass, and I loved your color scheme too. Not sure if that is stitching I see or part of your paper design. Loved your corner MB dies too. TFS

okay, so tell me you didn't stitch that but if you didn't, how did it come to be? cuz if you stitched it, i am so bowing down to you.

well the hubster was correct when he suggested to add grass! The decorative corner looks pretty, and I love the dsp! Did you stitch it or was that in the paper itself! Either way it looks great!
